Nudibranch We saw this species in at least 4 quite different color variations. This is a relatively big nudi usually 5-6 in. long. These nudis are called "T-bar", "fatback" or "cruxiform" for their general shape and "shield" or "helmet" nudis for the protective protrusion above the branch gills. We just call them Ceratosoma. Discussions about nudibranch are one of the places where using the scientific name is fairly common.
