Giant frogfish come in numerous color variations including whitish, yellowish, greenish, reddish, brownish and black and can change their coloration to match whatever sponge they happen to be perching on. On this one, you can start to get a sense of how big his mouth is. They are capable of fully engulfing other fish that are up to half their size. Seeing one with its mouth fully open is a pretty amazing sight.
