On the other hand, this giant frogfish was almost a foot long and is perched on a sponge in a typical frogfish pose. Frogfish are opportunistic hunters and they are usually stationary, they don't swim about much. They rely on camouflage, perch in sponges, and wait for prey to happen by. They have a "lure" just like the lure on a fishing pole that dangles just above their mouth and looks like food. When a smaller creature goes for the bait, they open up their mouths and grab it.
