Ornate Ghost Pipefish

This relative of the seahorse is one of the most striking fish on the reef although very difficult to find. They are small (at most 4-5 in long) and usually hover in the branches of a gorgonian. They then take on the color of the branches. Their color can range from black with yellow spots, to red, to the white variation you see in this picture.
