Myanmar (formarly Burma) is a pretty freaky place. What this image cannot show you is the smells and the noise. Competing loudspeakers where blasting out surreal Burmese music and what sounded like orwellian propaganda. It smelled of salt, fish and decay. It was very much like a scene in Apocalypse Now.
