Manta Rays

Dan is tearing through the 4+ knot current, pumping four foot long free-dive fins until his legs cramp, while the mantas couldn't be more relaxed. Mantas look menacing but are actually plankton feeders. They are huge, with wingspans up to 14 ft. They were on a feeding pass, with their mouths wide open to scoop water through their digestive system and filter out the plankton.
