Manta Rays

A manta closing up his mouth to swallow. On this dive, we were fighting a strong current and surge that wanted to sweep us all over the reef. We were given reef hooks: These are devices that attach to your bouyancy vest on a cable, and allow you to hook into a dead patch on the reef so that you can maintain the same position without being swept away. The only problem was that there were no dead patches! So, we fought the current instead.
