Classic italian scene - Italians seem to be very interested in presenting just the right amount of disrepair on the exterior of their buildings. Not the fake, painted-on brick-through-plaster look the American Italian restaurants mimic, but genuine disrepair. The entire trip we only stayed in one building that was fully painted. I especially like the upside-down mounted number "8" placecard.
