Pink-finned Jenfish

In Lembeh most of the diving is done on sandy or muddy expances of sea floor; rather than coral reef walls. This is called "muck" diving. The creatures in the "muck" have very few hiding places and must use extravagent camouflage or clever tactics to survive. This is why we love this type of diving: you find some of the most outragous creatures. However, muck diving requires special a swimming technique so you don't disrupt the sea floor and cloud the water with silt. Called, "Cave-diver finning" it involves keeping your knees bent and your fins up. Here Jen demonstrates perfect technique while searching for critters. (She didn't know I was filming her.)
