Anemone shrimp Although they walk forward in every other activity, shrimp, when startled, jet backwards. A common camouflage scheme is to do your best to keep the predator from being able to determine front from back. That way, when you scramble, they won't be able to predict the direction you'll go. The spots on this shrimp are all false eye spots there to make the real eyes less obvious.
