Jen teased this spearing mantis with her tickler after I had swam on. It reacted by spearing the stainless steel rod so hard it jarred her hand. The rod is only an 1/8 of an inch diameter but in a remarkable act of marksmanship, it speared dead on in the center. It made me glad I shot this with a fairly long telephoto.
