Cup coral on a wall

This shot was taken on a night dive. Coral are filter feeders that only "open" at night. During the day, all that is visible is their greenish bony coral skeleton. At night, they extend their filter "arms" out and feed by filtering small organisms out from the water that flows over them. This is one reason why we love night diving.
