Local Maasai family

In a Maasai boma the houses are built behind this fence of thorny acacia bushes for protection from the animals. The Maasai are trying hard to retain their traditional way of life and all over the Serengeti, you'll see them and their distinctive villages. You can tell whether a person is Masai because they always wear red and have beautiful beaded jewelry.
